HDR Architecture Inc.’s design for INOVA Loudon Hospital incorporates metal wall panels at the building’s eyebrow soffits and bullnose trim. Metal was selected for its durability, low maintenance, energy efficiency and aesthetics. The facility also has perforated metal screen wall and column covers. Metal roofing was installed at soffits, fascia and for gutter liners.
Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc. installed 76,333 square feet of Overly Manufacturing Co.’s Dimension XP custom architectural metal wall panels and 1,130 square feet of Overly’s Evolution flat seam metal roofing.
Kalkreuth also installed 1,883 square feet of East Coast Metal Systems Inc.’s EC-200 dryjoint metal composite material (MCM) rainscreen system in Houston Silver and 14-gauge coil-coated aluminum in Bright Silver.
The 382,000-square-foot hospital includes a main entrance, lobby, tower, private rooms, spaces for progressive care and oncology, postsurgical units, labor, delivery and postpartum unit, expanded newborn intensive care unit, hospital and outpatient labs, café and gift shop.
