Completed in 2008, this 84,000-square-foot hangar and office facility went from groundbreaking
to occupancy in just nine months. Garco Building Systems supplied the metal building system,
which included a 156-foot-long ridge truss system that weighed 85 tons. The roof system included
12 46-foot-long eave rafters 86 inches deep at the haunch and 10,000 pounds each. The building
features two 44-foot-high by 180-foot-long sliding doors and an internal fabric door system, allowing
one side of the hangar to be heated while the other is open to the elements.
