The $15 million, 46-unit addition was completed in 2009 and provides continuing care services to seniors including 24-hour nursing care, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy. The exterior walls of the new two-story buildings are made of gray Dryvit and are complemented by 20,000 square feet (1,858 m2) of Englert Series 2000 Slate Gray standing-seam roof panels from Englert Inc.
The 14-inch-
(356-mm-) wide standing-seam metal roof panels were chosen by the architect for its durability and maintenance-free features. Highlights of the new roof installation include two octagonal-shaped metal roofs and standing-seam panels on a series of dormers in the roofs of the complex. The facility is planning on replacing an additional 80,000 square feet (7,432 m2) of shingled roof on the existing complex with new standing-seam panels to create a unified appearance for the continuing care complex.
