Architects used the Fibonacci sequence to create a pattern of colored insulated metal panels (IMPs) on the exterior of Mandeville High School.

Paul Morvant, AIA, NCARB, architect at Holly and Smith Architects Inc., says, “Insulated metal panels gave us the opportunity to change color, change pattern, change size within a system to give us a nice façade.”

ER Barnes LLC installed 11,891 square feet of Kingspan Insulated Panels Inc.’s Designwall 2000 IMPs in four colors: Dove Gray, Driftwood, Regal Blue and Slate Blue.

The three-story, 51,780-square-foot building replaced modular classrooms. It primarily houses science and math classrooms.
