Located in Maple Grove, Minn., the Maple Grove Public Works Facility features 12,000 square feet of Holland, Mich.-based Dri-Design’s 0.080-aluminum panels finished in Black Anodized. The new facility is located on a 40-acre site that consolidates a wide range of public works functions. The facility provides four essential functions: administrative services; vehicle maintenance and storage; training and workshops; and storage of street, utility and parks maintenance materials. With longevity and minimal environmental impact in mind, the facility was designed to be durable while incorporating operational efficiencies. Located across from a residential area, the architectural design includes a façade that complements the neighborhood. Oertel Architects, St. Paul, Minn., was the project architect, and Minnkota Building Products, Osseo, Minn., was the installer.
