Design-builder Hutton Construction Corp. renovated Max Aerostructures’ aeronautical parts manufacturing facility with stainless steel and metal composite material (MCM) panels. The metal panels created a new identity for the brick building, first constructed in the 1960s. In addition to updating the exterior, the project added offices, a quality control lab and restrooms to the 200,000-square-foot facility.

Hutton Construction installed 2,700 square feet of CENTRIA’s 20-gauge perforated stainless steel EcoScreen panels on the building’s façade. At the main entrance, Advantage Wall Panel Systems LLC fabricated, and Hutton Construction installed, 700 square feet of Mitsubishi Chemical Composites America Inc.’s ALPOLIC MCM in CAP Blue. Hutton Construction installed the steel support components for the perforated and MCM panels as well. The project was completed in June 2017.
