DLR Group and CGA Architects designed the exterior of the Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex with a combination of smooth and ribbed insulated metal panels (IMPs). The panels have contrasting colors as well; the smooth panels are white and silver, and the ribbed panels are gray. The different textures create areas of light and shadow that change as daylighting changes.
On Cornell Complex, Kingspan Insulated Panels Inc.’s Optimo Smooth IMPs were installed in two colors: Ascot White and custom Nova White Silver. Kingspan’s KS Micro-Rib IMPs were also installed.
