Two roof sections on Philo Junior High School were leaking and ponding water. Instead of replacing the roof without making any other changes, Wes Van Autreve, sales representative at The Garland Co. Inc., recommended tapered insulation be installed to create adequate slope and drainage to avoid water ponding.
Once that was complete, Hash’s Construction Co. Inc. installed Garland’s OptiMax roof membrane and R-Mer Force flashless metal edge system. Instead of flashing plies at the roof’s edge, R-Mer Force is anchored to the exterior surface, without penetrating the roof surface. Hash’s Construction snapped fascia cover pieces onto installed anchors to complete the installation.
