CR Architecture and Design specified metal wall panels for two of Plainfield Fire Territory’s new fire stations: the headquarters fire station and Station 122. The fire department also operates two other stations as well: Station 121 and Station 123. The two buildings in the project meet the National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) 285 Standard for Fire Test Method for Evaluation of Fire Propagation Characteristics of Exterior Wall Assemblies Containing Combustible Components. They also have a Class A fire rating, are approved by Miami-Dade County Product Control and have Florida Product Approval.
On the two buildings’ exteriors, RAM North America Inc. installed 7,000 square feet of Laminators Inc.’s Omega-Lite metal composite material (MCM) panels in Bright Silver with a one-piece, tight fit installation system.
