Radisson Blu in Bloomington, Minn.

The Radisson Blu in Bloomington, Minn., was completed in March 2013. The 110,000-square-foot project is owned by the Carlson Cos., Minnetonka, Minn. ESG Architects Inc., Minneapolis, designed the exterior, while Graven Images, Glasgow, United Kingdom, designed the interior. The interior features a Krion wall from Systempool S.A., Villarreal, Spain. The building contains a custom Anthra Zinc flush seam panel system from Firestone Building Products Co., Indianapolis. The rest of the building features 12 different profiles from Firestone Metal Products Inc., Anoka, Minn., in different seven colors: Bone White, Matte Black, Robust, Anthra Zinc, mirror finish stainless steel, Aged Metal and Mansard Brown. The panels are Kynar coated with a stainless steel natural mirror finish. MG McGrath, Maplewood, Minn., fabricated and installed the panels. Mortenson Construction, Minneapolis, served as the general contractor. The hotel has Thermax insulation from Dow Building Solutions, Midland, Mich. The building's louvers are from The Airolite Co., Schofield, Wis., and it also features a Wrap- Shield SA membrane from VaproShield, Gig Harbor, Wash.
