Kirksey Architecture specified five metal panel profiles in a variety of colors for the Sciences and Technology Building at University of Houston-Downtown.
Universal Sheet Metal Inc. installed 15,186 square feet of CENTRIA’s Concept Series. The project includes 18-gauge CS-610 panels in Bronze II, Smooth Mica, Champagne Gold and Smooth Metallic.
There are 18-gauge CS-620 panels in Bronze II and Smooth Mica, and 18-gauge CS-623 panels in Champagne Gold, Smooth Metallic, Bronze II and Smooth Mica.
Universal Sheet Metal also installed 18-gauge CS-630 panels in Bronze II and Smooth Mica, and perforated CS-260 panels in Bronze II and Smooth Mica.
The 105,000-square-foot building houses the college of sciences and technology, 14 laboratory classrooms, 14 research labs, 21,094 square feet for meeting rooms and public areas, and 5,537 square feet of office spaces. The project is LEED Gold certified.
