Totaling 20,500 square feet (1,904 m2), this project utilized Star Building Systems’ Star- Shield Roof System in Galvalume. All steel for the project was provided by Star; however the exterior light-gauge framing around the perimeter utilizes conventional methods consisting of masonry block, Hardie board and horizontal siding. Completed in December 2008, this retail center utilized a Star metal building due to its design capabilities and cost efficiency.
A custom Star metal building provided an economical solution for this project while still accommodating exterior finishes that were approved by the city’s Urban Design Commission. The builder and architect put together a plan for this project and saved the building owner nearly $50,000 by using innovative solutions.
