Hetzel Design designed a vortex canopy with embedded LED-lights at the Las Vegas strip-facing entrance to The Linq retail development to complement a 550-foot High Roller observation wheel located at the rear of the site.

Engineered Wall Systems Inc. fabricated 60,000 square feet of EWS 400 series rainscreen system with Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America Inc.'s 4-mm ALPOLIC fire-retardant (FR) core aluminum composite material (ACM) in Platinum Mica, Champagne Mica and Silver Metallic finishes. The system included flat pans, curved panels (concave and convex) and column wraps.

Caesars Entertainment Corp., the owner, also completed renovations at three large, mid-strip resorts: The Linq Hotel and Casino, The Cromwell and Flamingo Las Vegas. David M. Schwarz Architects master-planned and designed the project. The Linq is located between The Linq Hotel and Casino, with a façade designed by Hetzel Design. The Cromwell boutique hotel and Flamingo Las Vegas, face Caesars Palace.

A guest walk path on the north side of The Linq leads from the Carnaval Court outdoor plaza at Harrah's Las Vegas through The Linq Hotel and Casino to the 300,000-square-foot, open-air retail, dining and entertainment district. A pedestrian connection was constructed from The Linq into Flamingo Las Vegas on the south side of the property. The Linq features more than 30 retail, dining and entertainment venues. Construction began in November 2011 and the project was completed in April 2014.
