Office & Mixed-Use

Walker’s Supply Co., Maryville, Tenn.

The 77,600-square-foot (7,209-m2), two-story structure, which is all one building, includes offices, a warehouse and a large showroom for its residential kitchen, bath and lighting products. The builder used Varco Pruden Buildings’ Rigid Frame and Deck Frame systems. The structural framing included columns, beams, bar joists and decking, all supplied by Varco Pruden.

Structural wind beams and channels were installed around the exterior’s full perimeter to provide adequate wind loads at masonry and exterior installation finish systems. Varco Pruden also supplied its SSR metal roof panels in Galvalume and Vee Rib metal wall panels in Sierra Tan.

The 50,000-square-foot (4,645-m2) warehouse incorporates wide bay truss purlins that limit the number of interior columns, thus providing maximum flexibility for racking. The building utilizes a mechanically seamed standing-seam roof and R-30 roof insulation. The office and showroom utilized exterior insulation finish system and simulated masonry stone veneer, creating an aesthetically pleasing focal point aid entrance.
