ABC honors construction champions

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced the honorees of its 2024 national Construction Workforce Awards, which includes Craft Instructor of the Year, Craft Professional of the Year, and Young Professional of the Year. The awards honor individuals who have significant roles in shaping the future of the construction industry by highlighting construction as a meaningful, lifelong career, emphasizing safe work practices, and expanding education opportunities. The winners for 2024 are as follows:

  • Paul Asselin, Gould Construction Institute instructor, Woburn, Mass., and ABC Massachusetts chapter member, is Craft Instructor of the Year.
  • Joseph Ahrens, general superintendent at HPS Plumbing Services, San Diego, is Craft Professional of the Year.

Mike Menke, project manager at FCI Constructors Inc., Grand Junction, Colo., is Young Professional of the Year.
