Metl-Span’s IMP plant boosts capacity, expands reach in Utah

Metl-Span, based in Lewisville, Texas, opened an insulated metal panel (IMP) manufacturing facility in Brigham City, Utah. It is the company’s eighth manufacturing facility in the U.S. and Canada. Nucor Corp., based in Charlotte, N.C., owns Metl-Span.

“The opening of our new insulated panel facility in Utah marks a significant expansion that allows us to better reach and serve our customers in the western United States and Canada,” says Thad Chapman, vice president and general manager at Nucor. “This state-of-the-art facility will greatly enhance our ability to deliver the unparalleled level of service that our customers have come to expect.”

The facility will produce Metl-Span’s line of insulated wall and roof panels for use in various end markets including warehousing, distribution and data centers.
