Visible fasteners for a modern façade
The latest innovation in façade cladding from Alcoa Architectural Products provides architects with a stylish new option for projects under 40 feet (12 m) or three-stories in height. The Reynobond Face Fastened Solution is a European-style exposed fastener installation solution designed specifically for use with Reynobond ACM, 0.16-inch (4-mm), PE core panels. The look features small, visible fastener heads that attach the ACM panels to a single extrusion rainscreen system, creating a modern façade with no caulk joints.

Comprehensive solar standing-seam roof system
Metl-Span has introduced CFR Insul-Solar, a comprehensive insulated solar standing-seam roof system. The system utilizes a thin-film solar laminate fused to the surface of the roofing panel substrate. The panel/laminate bond has been proven to withstand winds of 160 mph. The flexibility and durability of the Insul-Solar laminate makes it ideal for metal roofs where expansion and contraction are considerations.

Sunshades help meet LEED criteria
Max/Block sunshades by Tubelite are now manufactured using EcoLuminum, a high recycled-content aluminum billet composition featuring environmentally-friendly finishes. Along with responsible resource management, Max/Block sunshades maximize daylighting and minimize solar heat gain. These benefits also are key criteria for projects pursuing certification through the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Rating System. Complimenting buildings’ designs, Max/Block sunshades are available in airfoil, Z-blade and tubular architectural profiles. Each outrigger type can be extended from the building in various projection lengths to provide the desired performance.

Two horizontal panels offer architectural appeal
ATAS International Inc. has introduced two new horizontal wall panels-Versa- Seam and Versa-Lok. Both panels are designed to offer architectural appeal in a horizontal configuration. Versa-Seam, a rainscreen style system that requires a waterproof building envelope, forms architectural shadow lines in its horizontal installation.

Versa-Lok, flat shingle style wall panel, creates classic rectangular shapes with its versatile mix-and-match sizes. Both Versa-Lok and Versa-Seam are available in 0.032- or 0.04-aluminum with a smooth texture finish and Kynar 500 PVDF or Hylar 5000 PVDF coating. Note that Versa-Lok also is available with a Clear or Dark Bronze anodized finish. There are 30 standard color choices for both panels. Accessories are available with the same finish as the panels or as specified.
