Sustainable aluminum
Novelis introduced a new aluminum sheet product with a minimum of 70 percent post-consumer recycled content. The new Novelis recycled aluminum products for green solutions are being offered by the Specialty Products Group of Novelis in North America. Novelis recycled aluminum products are designed to offer sustainable solutions that deliver all the features of standard alloys for various consumer and industrial end-use application such as appliances, electronics, and building and construction. Novelis recycled aluminum products meet the ISO 14021 standard for post-consumer recycled content. Within the building and construction industry, these products meet the criteria for sustainable materials according to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED green building certification system.
Sustainable snow guards
The Eco-Blox recycled snow guard from SnoBlox-Snojax is made from post-consumer polycarbonate. Polycarbonate snow guards are sustainable in a variety of ways, including energy conservation in manufacturing and the potential for recyclability upon demolition. The Eco-Blox is based on our popular DEUCE model and can be adhesive or mechanically fastened and requires a 1 1/2-inch (38-mm) flat mounting area. This product is ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications. The Eco-Blox is available in Clear with a slightly darker UV tint.
Daylighting with rain and sun protection
Extending 5 feet (2 m) over a storefront entrance or sidewalk, LiteBrow’s Translucent Canopies from CPI Daylighting provide protection from the rain and hot sun while transmitting diffused daylight into the adjoining space. Built with CPI’s Nano-Cell honeycomb technology and glazed with its Pentaglas translucent standing-seam system, LiteBrow provides long-term impact and wind load resistance. Containing at least 10 percent post-industrial recycled content, the Pentaglas material is non-toxic and 100 percent recyclable, satisfying multiple LEED points. LiteBrow’s aluminum frame attaches to each building with suspended aluminum tie rods, available in standard and custom colors to match any storefront or corporate color scheme. Pre-engineered in three standard sizes, LiteBrow comes fully assembled.
Low-profile trailer mounted forklift

Fire and access doors
Door Engineering and Manufacturing’s top hung, horizontal sliding fire and access doors, formerly a product of American Metal Door Co., are an ideal and economical choice for applications requiring fire barriers. Door Engineering incorporates unique splice column technology into multipanel hollow metal sliding door systems. This technology offers added strength with trouble-free installation. The splice column features an H-shaped column with slots corresponding to structural metal tabs on door panel edges. Door panels lock into each other rather than using sheet metal screws, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing and highly stress-resistant door that is comparable in strength to one continuous panel.
