Employees at the Nucor Building Systems (NBS) facility in Terrell, Texas worked to collect toys for children for two area charities this holiday season. Toys were collected and donated to the K-Toys for Kids sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Terrell and the Salvation Army Angels through the Kaufman County branch.
The company adopted and fulfilled the wish list of 32 “angels” this year as part of the Salvation Army Angels program. The wish list provided with each “angel” includes detailed information such as the child’s age, clothing sizes, and preferences so specific needs and wants can be met. In addition, Nucor employees were able to donate toys and items to assist in the K-Toys for Kids mission. With the help of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club will distribute gifts for children, a turkey, food and household items on December 15 to help local families in need at Christmas.
