The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) congratulates Ironhide Construction as the first metal building assembler based in Nebraska to earn the International Accreditation Service’s (IAS) AC478 accreditation. Ironhide Construction is headquartered in Lincoln, Neb., and services Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota, Colorado and Wyoming. IAS AC478, Accreditation for Metal Building Assemblers Inspection, is a standard to recognize metal building assemblers committed to excellence.
Achieving this accreditation demonstrates that Ironhide Construction has the personnel, organization skills, experience, knowledge, management procedures, and commitment to assemble metal buildings in accordance with code, specifications, costs and deadlines. Some of the requirements for this accreditation include documented management systems, rigorous safety training, quality managers, OSHA training, documented safety plans, site-specific plans and other documents.
“I’m excited to welcome another metal building contractor to the ranks of AC478 Accreditation,” noted Art Hance, MBCEA president, while acknowledging the company’s achievement. “Ironhide Construction has made the commitment to distinguish themselves from the competition by not only their membership in MBCEA, but by taking the next step in assuring safety and quality in what they do. AC478 Accreditation is proof that a company is committed to these important goals. Congratulations to the entire Ironhide team.”
Jeff Wolgamott, Vice President and Co-Owner of Ironhide Construction, learned about AC478 at an MBCEA Conference and returned to Lincoln with the goal of becoming an AC478 accredited contractor. “Obtaining this certification is an acknowledgement of our commitment to safety, quality processes and continual training of our staff. It also illustrates our responsibility to the people we build for that we will deliver a quality product safely.”
