RESNET and RIMA-I team up to improve energy performance of new and existing homes

The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association International has agreed to work with RESNET to promote the improvement of home energy performance in the U.S. RIMA-I will accomplish this goal through urging its members to promote RESNET as an organization and the Energy Smart Contractor Certification Program. Through this new partnership RIMA-I will assist RESNET to develop guidelines for assessing the proper installation of reflective insulation, radiant barriers and internal radiation control coatings or IRCC’s. In addition RIMA-I will provide updated information on the performance of attic radiant barriers and internal radiation control coatings for the inclusion into approved building modeling software. The objective is to assist RESNET certified home energy raters when evaluating and rating new and existing homes.
