This January, ARCOM welcomed Michael A. Heinsdorf, P.E., LEED AP, to its team of engineering specification writers based in ARCOM’s Alexandria, Virginia office. Heinsdorf, an experienced MasterSpec user throughout his professional career, joins ARCOM from his most recent position as a lead project engineer with the Philadelphia-based firm The Burns Group.
Heinsdorf will initially collaborate with the Electrical Subcommittee of AIA’s MasterSpec Engineering Review Committee (MERC) to help improve MasterSpec electrical specifications through an extensive peer review process. Over several days of in-depth discussions next month, Heinsdorf, along with the committee, will strategize to expand MasterSpec’s two sections on interior and exterior lighting into eight to ten brand-new sections.
