Jeff Kemp, President of Pacific Stainless Products, St. Helens, Ore., announced today that Pacific Stainless is opening PSP Powder Coating as a new business unit to provide low cost, top quality powder coating services to customers throughout the Pacific Northwest region of Oregon and Washington. Pacific Stainless has been manufacturing custom fit stainless steel products including tables and shelves for the commercial food service, high tech clean room, architectural and aerospace industries since 1987. The move is part of a long term improvement strategy and will allow Pacific to tighten quality controls related to the powder coating aspects of their business while reducing outsource costs. In addition to supporting Pacific Stainless’s high tech niche, PSP Powder Coating will be providing low-cost, quick turnaround powder coating services to regional customers in the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan areas. PSP Powder Coatings’ brand new state of the art facility located adjacent to Pacific Stainless in St. Helens, Ore., is capable of producing Class A finishes and is equipped to handle oversized jobs with an 11’x15’x19’curing oven. PSP Powder Coating will be managed by Mike Kemp, general manager and Jeremy Porter, sales.
