
Ideal Contracting, a Detroit-based general contractor offering steel erection capabilities, has added Kevin Hilton, a well-known veteran of the construction industry, to the position of business development manager.
He’s served as the senior vice president at The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) and the National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee (NMAPC), where he collaborated with major industry stakeholders. In addition to his 12 years at TAUC and NMAPC, Kevin served as the CEO of the Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust
(IMPACT).
Hilton’s career has brought him together with leaders from across the industry, such as leadership of international trade unions and building trades councils, the principal officers within the contractor community, and the leadership of the industrial and manufacturing sectors within the country.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as well as a Master of Science in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a dedicated member of the board of directors for the National Building Museum, the ACE Mentor Program, and the National Alliance for Fair Contracting (NAFC).
