The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) announced Facility Builders and Erectors Inc., based in Anaheim, Calif., received AC478 accreditation for metal building assemblers inspection. AC478 is administered by the International Accreditation Service (IAS).

Achieving AC478 accreditation demonstrates Facility Builders and Erectors has personnel, organizational skills, experience, knowledge, management procedures, and commitment to assemble metal buildings by code, specifications, costs, and deadlines. Requirements for the accreditation include documented management systems, safety training, high quality managers, OSHA training, safety plans, and site-specific plans.

Robert Tiffin, president at MBCEA, says, “This quote, ‘We deliver quality without having to be told. We take it personally,’ on [Facility Builders and Erectors’] website, roars of their unwavering culture of quality and safety. It’s this all-in that guided and delivered them to full accreditation. Thank you and congratulations [Facility Builders and Erectors]!”

Ken Thomson, president at Facility Builders and Erectors, says he recognized AC478 accreditation as an opportunity to strengthen core practices at the company. “Our passion for safety and quality, along with our appreciation for our workforce and our commitment to making them the best in the industry, guides our approach to every project,” he says.
