Covertech/rfoil insulation has announced that it has recently been granted U.S. Patent No. 8,221,871. This follows the earlier grant of two U.S. patent No. 7,935,410 and No. 7,935,411. The inventor named in each patent is Furio Orologio, one of the founders of Covertech.
The inventions result from extensive research by Covertech in an effort to satisfy the widespread need for reflective thermal insulation meeting Class A standards. The two earlier patents were directed to the use of insulation comprising metalized polymeric film for bubble-pack assemblies. The latest patent extends the use of the insulation based on metalized polymeric film to other structures as well, such as multi-layered assemblies or foams.
John Starr, the Vice President/Partner of Covertech, states that, “This latest patent significantly expands the scope of our patent portfolio. We are pleased to offer this group of patents for licensing on reasonable terms.”
Mr. Starr notes that those interested in a license under the patents may contact him directly at johnstarr@covertechfab.com 416-798-1340 ext 206 or through patent counsel of record, Mark Sullivan of Morgan Lewis & Bockius, Washington, D.C. mark.Sullivan@morganlewis.com
