The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) presented two member awards at its 55th Annual MBCEA Conference in April in San Diego.
The Robert and Beverly Ketenbrink Oil Can Service Award was given to Douglas Seth Collins for his dedication and service to the metal building industry. Additionally, four MBCEA members, Timothy Allison, Dean Davids, Rick Gallier, and Keith Wentworth, were honored as new members of the MBCEA Pioneers Club for their years of service in the industry.
The Oil Can Award is presented to an MBCEA member who has given service to both the metal building industry as well as the MBCEA and its training partner, the Metal Buildings Institute (MBI).
Douglas “Seth” Collins is quality director at Dunn Building Co. LLC in Birmingham, Ala., an AC478 accredited company. He is an MBCEA board member and is on MBCEA’s metal building curriculum committee, several curriculum course sub-committees, and technical committee. He also participates in the Metal Building Manufacturers Association’s (MBMA) BIM task group.
Robert Tiffin, president at MBCEA, says, “Let’s again congratulate [Collins] on this well-deserved recognition. [Collins] not only excels in his field but also generously shares his knowledge, promoting safety and progress for everyone involved.”
The MBCEA gives membership to the Pioneers Club to contractor and erector members who have worked at the association for at least 25 consecutive years. New members are:
- Timothy Allison, executive vice president at Barnes Buildings and Management Group Inc., Weymouth, Mass.
- Dean Davids, president at Commercial Metal Building Services Corp., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
- Rick Gallier, president at Super Structures General Contractors Inc., Midlothian, Va.
- Keith Wentworth, president at the MBI, and president at Dutton and Garfield Inc., Hampstead, N.H.
Sasha Demyan, executive director at MBCEA, says, “Congratulations to all of these members. Their dedication and years of service to the industry is admirable and each one sets a great example to follow.”
