The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) has announced that Rainwater Construction Company, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., and servicing the Eastern United States, has earned AC478 accreditation administered by the International Accreditation Service (IAS). AC478, Accreditation for Metal Building Assemblers Inspection, is a standard to recognize metal building assemblers committed to excellence.

According to a news release, achieving this accreditation demonstrates that Rainwater Construction Company “has the personnel, the organizational skills, vast experience, knowledge, management procedures, and commitment to assemble metal buildings in accordance with code, specifications, costs, and deadlines.” Requirements for this accreditation include documented management systems, rigorous safety training, quality managers, OSHA training, documented safety plans, site-specific plans, and other documentation.

“Congratulations to Rainwater Construction on achieving your AC478 accreditation—a milestone that reflects your unwavering commitment to integrity, respect, and quality,” states Robert Tiffin, MBCEA president. “This recognition affirms what your clients already know: that you build more than structures—you build trust, growth, and lasting partnerships with every project.”

“For nearly 70 years, Rainwater Construction has been dedicated to building with integrity, safety, and precision—and the AC478 accreditation affirms that commitment. Earning this accreditation not only acknowledges Rainwater’s expertise in assembling metal building systems at the highest industry standards, it also exemplifies Rainwater’s unwavering focus on safety throughout every project. More than a certification, this achievement reflects the work of each and every member of the Rainwater team to safely and dependably deliver best-in-class construction,” the media release states.

“This recognition is especially meaningful to us because it validates the standards we’ve developed and maintained since opening our doors in 1956,” said Rainwater president Steven Hudgins. “To be recognized for excellence always feels good—but to be recognized for excellence by one of the most respected accreditation bodies in the commercial construction industry—that’s an honor showing we’re really doing something great here.”
