Dynamic Fastener
Dynamic Fastener’s 14-20 by 1 1/2-inch Fenderhead T-5s are stout fasteners with a built-in fender, washer-like washer face under the head. The screw shank is a #14 diameter, which provides greater pull-out and shear values than #12 diameter screws. The washer face is 5/8-inch outside diameter. The 14-20 by 1 1/2-inch Fenderhead T-5s can self-drill through 5/8-inch-thick steel. They come in eight lengths: 1 1/2 inches, 2 1/4 inches, 3 inches, 4 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches and 10 inches. The fasteners are coated with Dyna-Coat 1,000-hour salt spray coating.
ET&F Fastening Systems Inc.
ET&F’s AGS series fasteners are pneumatically driven, high carbon, heat-treated pins. They have a ballistic point, knurled shank, and are finished with Aericote 1000, a premium corrosion-resistant coating. AGS series pins are available in lengths of 1 1/2 inches, 2 inches and 2 1/2 inches. The pins can be used with light-gauge steel ranging from 20-gauge to 14-gauge material. The pins are code recognized in IAPMO Evaluation Report ER-335 for fastening plywood and OSB to light-gauge steel in horizontal diaphragm assemblies. Additionally, the pins are code recognized in ICC ES Evaluation Report ESR-1777 for use fastening plywood and OSB to light-gauge steel in shear wall assemblies subject to seismic and wind loading.
ST Fastening Systems
ST Fastening Systems’ #12 WOODBINDER OSB fasteners hold metal roofing to OSB or other thin wood substrates. They have a V-neck design and aggressive thread with STRIP LOC to help prevent strip-out in OSB. The #12 WOODBINDER OSB fasteners can also be used as a replacement fastener for nails or screws that have stripped out in OSB. The fasteners have a sharp point with Type 17 slot that helps to drill the proper sized holes for maximum strip-out prevention. They come with corrosion-resistant POWDERFUL powder coating that can be matched to panel colors. Applications include backyard and portable buildings with metal roofs, and residential metal roofs fastened to OSB.
Triangle Fastener Corp.
Triangle Fastener’s CONCEALOR Pancake Head Screws attach standing seam roof (SSR) clips to metal, wood or concrete. Additionally, they attach SSR clips over thick rigid insulation, face fasten insulated metal panels to steel, and attach nail hem style, clip-less panels to wood. The fasteners have a low profile pancake head that provides clearance between the fastener head and panel. A square recess drive eliminates cam-out of the drive bit. CONCEALOR Pancake Head Screws are produced with #10, #12, #14 and 1/4-inch diameters; lengths go to 9 inches. TRI-SEAL coating provides corrosion protection.
