3A Composites’ Alucobond PLUS naturAL Terra Series aluminum composite material (ACM) was inspired by iridescent stone. Six textured finishes are available: Arctic Frost, Clear Ice, Lava, Precast Grey, Sierra Sand and Terra Cotta. The 4-mm-thick Alucobond PLUS has two sheets of 0.02-inch aluminum thermobonded to a PLUS fire-resistant core. Alucobond PLUS wall panels have a flame-spread index less than 25 and smoke-developed index less than 450 (tested to ASTM E84).
Columbia Architectural Products Inc.
Columbia Architectural Products’ Tecpan Offset Panel is a formed composite utilizing two, brake-formed pans and a XPS foam insulation core, pressed and bonded together, forming a completely sealed panel. The panel has a 1-inch by 1-inch perimeter offset to set into a curtainwall in place of glass. Typically, Tecpan Offset Panels are positioned to bring the panel forward and flush with the exterior mullion face. The standard 2-inch-thick panel has a 0.04-inch aluminum color face, 2-inch extruded polystyrene core and 0.04-inch aluminum back pan.
Mitsubishi Chemical Composites America Inc.
Mitsubishi Chemical Composites America produces its ALPOLIC Timber Series metal composite material (MCM) with an image transfer process using fluoropolymer paint technology. The MCM is available in three thicknesses: 3 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm. Standard stock width is 62 inches and length is 196 inches; other sizes are also offered. ALPOLIC Timber Series MCM come in a range of finishes including Harvest Trail Bamboo, Mahogany, Maple, Oriental Cane, Teak, Walnut and Zebrawood.
Unience USA Inc.
Unience’s Alfrex fr is a fire-rated metal composite material (MCM) panel for interior and exterior applications. The flat, lightweight, durable MCM has a fire-rated mineral core, and comes in three thicknesses: 3 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm. Standard sizes are 40.2 inches, 49.2 inches and 62 inches. The maximum length is 18 feet. The MCM is finished with Kynar 500 paints from PPG Industries Inc.
Universal Composite Panel Systems Inc.
Universal Composite Panel Systems’ UCPS 1000 Series is a rainscreen attachment system for metal composite material (MCM). It uses the same parts for wet-seal and rainscreen wall systems. The MCM panel attachment system features a concealed drainage system, which eliminates weep holes. UCPS 1000 passed AAMA 508 and AAMA 509 tests.
