CO Building Systems (Ephraim, Utah) recently installed a Red Bud Industries T1 stretcher leveler at its Nortonville Rail facility in Nephi, Utah.
The new stretcher was retrofitted into an existing .375 x 72-in. (9.5 mm x 1829-mm) line to expand processing capabilities for both in-house consumption and the general market.
To increase production, a new dual-drive roll feed, loop, and thread system was also purchased to convert the existing line from a start/stop to a loop system. The roll feed incorporates a dual servo drive system, which reduces maintenance requirements by streamlining the drive train and eliminating drive shafts. This also allows feed rolls to run material up to .250 in. (6.3 mm) in a loop.
Additionally, Red Bud is filling an order for a .075 x 60-in. (1.91 x 1524-mm) precision blanking line for AAON’s newest location, in Memphis, Tenn.
The new line will consist of a coil car, uncoiler, peeler breaker, precision roller leveler, thread system, roll feed, shear, drop stacker, stack tables, and end discharge conveyors.
