Metal building systems met project requirements for construction duration for fieldhouses at Bell Bank Park. The scope of the 460,000-square-foot project included three preengineered metal buildings, metal decking and insulated metal panel (IMP) walls. Four buildings were constructed: Fieldhouse A, Fieldhouse B, Fieldhouse C and Esports Gaming Center.
Ryan Klosterman, owner and president at Image Building Systems LLC, the erector, says, “Pre-engineered steel buildings were used for all primary and secondary framing, with other conventional steel construction adding exterior elements, and tying the three metal buildings together.”
Image Building Systems erected Varco Pruden Buildings’ metal building systems and installed 22-gauge B-decking finished white on the underside. The decking supports TPO roofing. On top CMU walls, the company installed Metl-Span’s 2 1/2-inch-thick CF42STR IMPs in Smoke Gray.
