After a 2015 fire damaged the 200-year-old Cedar Grove Baptist Church beyond repair, a new church was constructed with a metal building system. C. Ross Architecture LLC designed it with a metal roof and metal walls.
The 7,072-square-foot, one-story building has a concrete slab on grade foundation and metal building shell with a rigid framing system. It features a drive-under canopy with a steeple. The church houses a foyer, office space, fellowship hall, worship area, seating for 200 people and classrooms.
J & S Construction Co. Inc. installed 7,072 square feet of American Buildings Co.’s Galvalume Loc Seam metal roof panels for the project. For walls, it installed 4,320 square feet of American Buildings’ Architectural III metal wall panels in Regal White. Construction began in October 2015 and the project was completed in May 2016.
