Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, Neb.

Three metal wall panel systems contributed to the construction of Pinnacle Bank Arena, a142,206-square-foot multi-use facility that is the new home of the University of Nebraska's Cornhuskers basketball teams.

MG McGrath installed 40,206 square feet of Dri-Design 0.80-aluminum wall panels in Copper with an anodized finish; 16,000 square feet of CENTRIA CS 660 panels in Medium Grey with flouropolymer paint finish; and 86,000 square feet of McGrath flat-lock metal wall panels in Silver and Turning Dull Grey with a Zalmag finish.

Metal cladding cost less than brick for the stair towers, and the upper drum was engineered from structural steel supports to 18-gauge stud framing. Light metal cladding enabled engineering.

Additionally, vapor barrier, glazing and 2-inch zee furring with 2-inch Thermafiber insulation were used.
