Farnsworth Group Inc. designed Rock Creek Curling Center with a combination of metal building systems, six in total, to complete the 32,506-square-foot facility.

The curling center has multiple roof lines and 20- and 25-foot-high eaves. There is an interior/ exterior mezzanine. At the full perimeter, there are roof overhangs with soffit and diagonal tube steel support brackets.

Buildings by Design LLC furnished Chief Buildings’ metal building systems, metal roof and wall panels. Pro Steel Erectors Inc. erected the buildings and installed the roof and wall assemblies.

On the roof, Pro Steel installed Chief’s MVP standing seam roof system in Ash Gray. The roof is insulated with Thermal Design Inc.’s Simple Saver insulation system. On top of it, Pro Steel installed S-5!’s Colorgard snow retention system.

For walls, Pro Steel installed five materials: insulated metal panels (IMPs), single-skin metal wall panels, fiber cement panels, stone and masonry veneer.

Kingspan Insulated Panels Inc. supplied 3-inchthick Granitestone IMPs in Imperial White, Chief supplied CS R-panels in Ash Gray and, to insulate them, Pro Steel installed Simple Saver insulation.

For all stone and masonry veneer, Pro Steel installed B-deck substrate over girts supplied by Vulcraft Group, a subsidiary of Nucor Corp.
