Curtainwall withstands hazards
Tubelite Inc.’s ForceFront Blast Curtainwall is a blast hazard-mitigating curtainwall with high thermal performance. It has blast-resistant, shear-clip framing that is glazed with 1- to 1 1/2-inch laminated glass positioned to the front of the frame. The ForceFront Blast Curtainwall complies with ASTM, General Service Administration (GSA), Interagency Security Committee (ISC) and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) requirements for charge weight and standoff. ForceFront Blast systems have been tested to attain a thermal transmittance U-factor of 0.36 and condensation resistance factor (frame) of 80. The curtainwall has extruded aluminum framing. It has a 2 1/2-inch face width and 7 3/4-inch overall depth.

Counter door is insulated
CornellCookson Inc.’s Insulated Counter Door has galvanized steel brackets, a galvanized steel curtain and PVC back slats with melamine foam insulation. It has an ASTM E90 certification and sound transmission class (STC) rating of 26. The Insulated Counter Door comes standard with a GalvaNex polyester enamel finish in Gray, Tan or White.

Windows remain open during rainfall
Exterior Technologies Inc.’s (EXTECH) TECHVENT 5300 window systems have top-hinged window screens that span and cover the height of the windows. Its awning design allows windows to remain open during normal rainfall and keeps interiors dry. Galvanized wire mesh bird and insect screens allow ventilation with protection.

Doors allow multiple breakout operations
Horton Automatics, a division of Overhead Door Corp., offers the FlexSlide S2022 automatic sliding door in surface-applied or perimeter-mounted to fit locations and breakout operations for egress, which can be non-breakout, partial breakout and full breakout.
