Thousands of pixels of light looking like illuminated spherocylinders blend to what has been called the silver screen of the 21st century. This distinct graphic image can be seen at the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Biology Research Building at Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif., because of Cambridge, Md.-based GKD Metal Fabrics’ Mediamesh. Its stainless steel wire mesh with LED lights interwoven can transform buildings into a dynamic, vivid communication experience that leverages large-scale digital signage technology in innovative ways. It can cover four times the surface area of traditional billboards with as much as 80% less electricity.
